- Sexually explicit content, intimate images shared without permission, or content depicting or sexualising anyone under the age of 18.
- Content showing violence, exploitation, abuse or criminal activity.
- Photos or videos taken in private or sensitive situations where the person would not reasonably expect to be recorded or have the content shared.
- Content featuring a child where their parent or legal guardian has objected to it being shared.
- Professional photographs, videos, music or other third-party material unless you own the rights or have permission from the copyright owner.
- Content that impersonates another person, invades someone's privacy or reveals sensitive personal information without permission.
- Malware, harmful files, spam, advertising or attempts to access, test, disrupt or bypass our systems or those of our service providers.
Child safety
The Guest Take has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits, abuses or sexualises a child.
If we become aware of suspected child sexual abuse material, we may:
- Immediately restrict access to the content.
- Preserve relevant information where legally appropriate.
- Report the matter to the police, the Internet Watch Foundation or another relevant authority.
- Cooperate with lawful investigations and disclosure requests.
Do not download, copy, forward or redistribute suspected illegal content. Report it to us immediately at contact@theguesttake.com.
If a child may be in immediate danger, contact the police on 999.
Consent, privacy and expectations
By uploading content, you confirm that:
- You created the content or have the necessary permission to share it.
- You reasonably believe the people shown would expect the content to be shared privately with the couple.
- You will respect any request not to photograph, film or share content involving a particular person.
- Where a child is a prominent subject of the content, you have permission from their parent or legal guardian to share it.
- The content does not breach anyone's privacy, copyright or other legal rights.
Uploads are shared for the private wedding experience selected by the couple. Uploading content does not give The Guest Take permission to use it publicly in advertising, social media or portfolio material.
Separate permission will be requested before any content is used for marketing.
Your responsibility
You remain responsible for everything you upload.
The Guest Take does not routinely verify the ownership, accuracy or legality of every upload before it is processed or displayed.
You agree to reimburse The Guest Take for reasonable losses, claims or costs arising from content you upload where you did not have the required rights or permission to share it. This does not limit any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Removal and enforcement
The couple may hide content or ask us to remove it from their wedding collection.
We may also remove, restrict or disable access to content where we reasonably believe that it:
- Breaches this policy.
- Is unlawful or potentially unlawful.
- Infringes another person's rights.
- Creates a safety, privacy or security risk.
- Is unrelated to the wedding.
- Could cause serious distress or harm.
Depending on the circumstances, we may take action without prior notice.
Serious or repeated breaches may result in:
- Upload access being blocked.
- The wedding collection being paused.
- The relevant customer account being suspended.
- Information being preserved or disclosed where required by law.
- The matter being referred to the relevant platform provider, regulator or authority.
Removing content from the visible wedding collection may not immediately remove every temporary, backup or service-provider copy. Any remaining copies will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy, retention periods and legal obligations.
Reporting content
To report content that may breach this policy, email contact@theguesttake.com.
Please include:
- The couple's names or wedding-page link.
- A brief description of the concern.
- The specific photo or video involved, where possible.
- Your relationship to the content or person shown.
- The action you are requesting.
Do not attach or forward suspected child sexual abuse material.
We aim to acknowledge reports within one working day. Complex reports may take longer to investigate, but urgent safety concerns will be prioritised.
We may ask for additional information to confirm identity, rights or authority before removing content. However, we may take immediate protective action where the content appears unlawful or presents a serious risk.
Requests from authorities
We may preserve or disclose content, account details, upload records and related information where we are legally required to do so or where reasonably necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
All requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, our suppliers, legal requirements or online-safety practices.
The latest version will always be published on The Guest Take website.
