How long are guest uploads stored?

The current media provider deletes uploaded files 30 days after each upload unless another storage arrangement has been configured. Couples must download and back up their content before the stated deadline — the exact download deadline is shown clearly inside the couple dashboard.

Can expired uploads be recovered?

No. Once media has been permanently deleted by the upload provider, it may not be recoverable. We send dashboard and email reminders before the download deadline.

How long does the wedding upload page remain active?

This depends on the selected package and configured upload window. The opening and closing dates are shown in the couple dashboard.

Can uploads be backed up elsewhere?

Where configured, uploads may be copied to an approved connected storage service such as Google Drive. Automatic backup is only advertised for weddings where it has been successfully enabled.

Does this replace a photographer or videographer?

No. The Guest Take complements professional photography and videography by collecting the candid moments captured by friends and family.

What happens if there is not enough usable footage?

The final edit depends on the quantity and quality of guest uploads. Where there is insufficient video, the result may be shorter or more photo-led. We will always contact you before editing to agree the best available format.

Can inappropriate uploads be removed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Guest Take may hide or remove unlawful, offensive, inappropriate, infringing or unrelated content.

Who owns the uploaded photos and videos?

Accepted Answer

The person uploading content retains ownership of it. By uploading, they give The Guest Take and its approved service providers permission to store, organise, display and process the content only as needed to provide the purchased service. All legal wording requires professional review before launch.

Can The Guest Take use our wedding in marketing?

Not automatically. Separate written permission must be obtained before wedding photos, videos, edits, names or testimonials are used publicly.
