What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only set with your consent.
Your choices
When you first visit the site we show a banner offering Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Manage preferences. Nothing in the Analytics or Advertising categories loads or writes to your device until you make a choice. Simply continuing to browse is not treated as consent.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer. Your preference is stored locally in your browser under the key tge_cookie_consent_v1.
We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means Google tags are loaded in a restricted state and receive an updated consent signal only after you choose. Advertising and analytics storage are denied by default.
What we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Session & auth — keeps you signed in and secures the session (Supabase auth). Cleared when you sign out.
- Basket / checkout state — remembers items you've added so checkout works.
- Consent preference —
tge_cookie_consent_v1in local storage, so we don't ask you again on every page. - CSRF & security — protects form submissions from cross-site attacks.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under PECR / UK GDPR because they are essential to a service you have requested.
Analytics (optional — off until you accept)
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-RM2VLGCJKX) — sets_gaand_ga_XZ9V2N8YNXcookies on your browser to measure page views, sessions and traffic sources. IP addresses are anonymised andads_data_redactionis enabled. Retention: up to 2 years. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. - Microsoft Clarity (project ID
xjeuz8z5xa) — anonymous product analytics that records how the site is used through session replays and heatmaps to help us improve pages. Sets_clck,_clsk,CLID,ANONCHK,MUIDandSMcookies. IP addresses are truncated and Clarity does not sell or share data. Retention: up to 1 year for cookies, 13 months for aggregated data. Provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Advertising (optional — off, and not currently used)
We do not currently run advertising or remarketing pixels (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, TikTok Pixel). The Advertising toggle in the preferences panel is provided so that if we add any of these in future your existing choice is respected and nothing loads without consent. This policy will be updated to name each provider before any such tag is added.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking session cookies will sign you out of the dashboard and may break parts of the site that require sign-in.
